We have over 25 years experience in organising walking holidays in Scotland. It all started back in 1984 with our Coast to Coast route - hence the company name. In those days we organised multi-activity walking/cycling/canoeing trips but since 1992 we have been specialising in self-guided / self-led / independent hiking and biking vacations.
We book and pre-pay all your accommodation, arrange your baggage transfer from door to door, and provide detailed route guidance, maps and other useful information about hiking in Scotland. This means you can enjoy the Scottish scenery at your own pace, without the hassle of a heavy pack or any worries about where to stay. Another advantage of self-guided holidays is that you can start on almost any date from April to October. On most routes we can also customise an itinerary to suit your fitness and how much time you have. We only book good standard B&Bs, guest houses and hotels and take great care in organising our specialist holidays. Our routes are based in areas rich in history and are an ideal way for you to explore some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. You don't have to be an experienced (or very fit) walker to enjoy our holidays; on many of our routes there are options for shorter daily walks and you can choose to spend more time sight-seeing, visiting local historic attractions like castles and distilleries. In addition to our hiking routes, we also arrange weekend breaks and bespoke cycling tours. See below for summary of all our routes and click on the links for itineraries and other information.
We can arrange transfers from Scottish airports to your first night's accommodation, and back to the airport after your walk. We can also book accommodation for you in Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Stirling before and after your walking holiday. Have a browse through our pages and contact us if you have any questions. |
